The purpose of dam safety review is to determine the capability of the dam to retain the stored water in the reservoir under all conditions to protect the public and environmental. A dam safety review is a systematic review and evaluation of design, construction, maintenance, operation based on current knowledge and standards through doing analysis and assessments of hydrotechnical, seismic, geotechnical, structural and other considerations.
